I’d have to agree with the other comments on your videos; it’s comparing PHP to a framework, it’s like comparing a pack of nuts and bolts to a kitset Mecano.

Just that php has a lot of hobby crappy non-developers, and gives them the freedom of writing shit, doesnt mean php is shit.
In php you can also write perfectly following MVC.
It’s the developer, not the language.
php and ruby at good coz i use both of them.. but on this video. you compare it the wrong way.. you should compare zend, php cake, codeigniter or any framework base on php.. cake php and ror at more likely the same.

You’ve totally missed the point. One guy is supposed to be dorky and lame, not BOTH of them. I mean, ruby tuesday on the right has pipe-cleaner arms, a shiny scalp AND a beer belly! HAHA. At least tubby on the left can probably name a sports team or something.
comparing a framework with a language? misleading and childish. compare a major PHP framework (Symfony, Zend etc.) with Ruby (not ROR!!) and see how well it’ll do!

Of course you could compare Ruby to PHP, but that wouldn’t make a difference cause PHP really doesn’t have pretty syntax and isn’t as functional as Ruby’s fully OO syntax.
You know what I like about PHP? It’s how we always have to guess what comes first when calling a function, is it the “Needle” or the “Haystack”?
I think he meant side by side with HTML, not actually in it.
Anyway I don’t like PHP, but I have to agree it does the job (well, mostly) if used properly.
The best notice here is that PHP should be compared to Ruby, not ROR, ’cause ROR is framework.
In this video it would’ve been better to compare PHP Zend framework to ROR – that would be really good one since Zend seem to suck very very hard.
